A Look At Augusta National: #3 - 'Flowering Peach'

This is the hole that helped stymie Tiger a few years back as he chose a driver over the 3 wood or an iron off the tea. You can best bet he will never do that again. Boomerang shaped green, which is unique.

350 yards
Par 4

Original Intent: "The left hand side of the green is very narrow; whereas the right side is broad. It is easy for anyone to reach the wide portion of the green with their second shot but difficult to reach the narrow end where the pin will usually be placed."- Alister Mackenzie, from the first Masters program

Significant Change:- Fairway bunker complex built in 1982

History Average Score: 4.10
History Rank: 14th
